Axiom Space has successfully completed 4 private ISS missions. These are considered precursor missions in anticipation of the Axiom Station connecting to the ISS. After the Axiom Station is attached (eventually becoming its own free flying space station) missions will have more flexibility to shift from short research trips to longer, autonomous stays fostering advanced scientific research, commercial activities, and the continued presence of humans in Low Earth Orbit.

Axiom Space is working with NASA to simplify private astronaut training for future missions. Traditional astronaut training can run over the course of several years and while we have cut that down significantly, we believe it can be condensed even more. As short-term customers, private astronauts require basic microgravity adaption and safety protocols but have no need for extended spaceflight training.

Last month Axiom Space completed the technical review of the #AxEMU spacesuit. The next major step will be a NASA led critical design review to independently confirm the spacesuit's hardware, systems, and general overall readiness for final qualification testing, certification, and finally, delivery for Artemis.
Earlier this summer Axiom Space performed the first crewed test of the #AxEMU communication, breathing, and cooling systems in NASA's Neutral Buoyancy Lab. I even got to simulate planting the American flag on the lunar surface! https://t.co/GN7j9QMzih
