Thrilled to unveil the production-intent Lucid x Uber x Nuro robotaxi at CES. This is the world’s most luxurious robotaxi, real Level 4 autonomy, and a premium in-cabin experience. See it now at the NVIDIA showcase, 4th floor, Fontainebleau Conference Center. https://t.co/zw123ScAhM

In less than a year, the Lucid × Uber × Nuro robotaxi program has gone from announcement to nearly 100 vehicles testing on public roads, a Bay Area launch later this year, and now Houston confirmed as our second market in 2027. https://t.co/4Ix30Oz4Vr

An exciting milestone with @Nuro and @LucidMotors: Uber employees are now taking test rides on the @Uber app in the Bay Area. Proud of our terrific partners as we make strong progress on our our path to launch.

Super excited to share that we will start testing these stunning robotaxi vehicles in the SF Bay Area soon, as part of the development and validation process. Big thank you to the Nuro team and the teams at @Uber and @LucidMotors for the amazing progress this year!

It’s safe to say I fell in love with the Lucid Gravity during my first test drive about a year ago, while we were exploring a collaboration with @LucidMotors and @Uber to launch a Global Robotaxi Program. The Gravity’s elegant design, impressive range, and comfortable interior make it an ideal robotaxi platform for the Nuro Driver—and an exceptional personal vehicle, which is why I decided to buy one myself! Thank you, Marc. Can’t wait for the rest of the world to experience what this car can do.

I think it’s pretty clear at this point that Waymo x Uber isn’t going to last much longer I don’t think Waymo needs Uber (not mentioned in any of the many new cities announced), and it seems like Uber doesn’t think they need Waymo now that they have stronger partnerships like Nuro that are nearing launch. Hope they just rip the bandaid off and give us Waymo app in Austin soon, but might be a while depending on terms of the contract. I’ll definitely be interested in checking out Nuro in SF this summer, curious to see how the product turns out. So far feels like the AV experience on Uber has been lackluster at best.
